Medical insurance option (Check it out here). This is entirely optional and you can add this at a later date should you choose. That being said, we strongly suggest getting a medical travel insurance to cover any medical expenses you may incur while in France (see travel/medical insurance section below) but feel free to check with your healthcare provider to see if they have something better. This is just to give you an option.
STEP 2- Fill out your profile
-
Signature of Waivers and Releases
-
Dietary requirements/restrictions
-
Allergies
-
Any medications needed - dosage and way of administration
-
Health or special accommodation requirements
-
Medical History, including any conditions or symptoms of which we must be made aware
-
Fill out the questionnaire
STEP 3- Flights. DO NOT BOOK YOUR FLIGHT UNTIL WE CAN CONFIRM THE CAMP IS 100% HAPPENING (MARCH 2023). We had to cancel the last two summers due to the global pandemic so we'd rather be cautious.
-
Note that the actual first day of the camp is on Sunday, July 9th. If you are flying from the U.S or Canada, Central or South America, you will have to leave on July 8th to get to Toulouse, France on July 9th. We will pick up the participants anywhere in Toulouse (airport, train station, etc) and at any time of the day or night on July 9th. Pick whichever flights or train that arrives in Toulouse on July 9th and we will take it from there.
Other Important Information:
Travel/Medical Insurance: While the cost of health care in France is relatively low, we strongly suggest subscribing to a travel medical insurance. Our partner, Campdoc.com, offers a medical/cancellation insurance that can be purchased during registration; but if their insurance doesn't fit your needs, you can check with your current provider or go online to look for other options. For insurance purposes, please note that you will be traveling to 3 countries during Camp (France, Andorra and Spain- Only for a few hours & within a few miles of the border). You will find in the waiver that we cannot be held liable or responsible for any medical costs incurred during the trip.
Traveling to Toulouse: If you are worried about your child flying alone to Toulouse, you have a few options. 1) Contact us to see if any other campers are leaving from the same city, or if they can connect on a layover. 2) Contact your airline and ask about options for "unaccompanied minors" - this service is available for teenagers ages 14-18 with most carriers. Please note it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get your child to the Toulouse Airport, so please check they have all paperwork needed to get there (check that passport is still valid for example). We cannot be responsible for anything happening before your child gets to the Toulouse Airport.
Tips: We usually have several parents take vacation in France before the camp and drop their children in person the first day of the camp in Toulouse and let them fly back on their own.
