THE CAMP
OVERVIEW
Train in the morning, Explore France in the afternoon!
Why join the camp ?
What greater way to prepare for your Cross Country/Track Season than spending nearly two weeks in France training by the highest track in Europe? Beyond the amazing training you will get, this will also be a fantastic experience as we will explore the South of France and do many activities beyond training (Check our amazing highlights on the next page).
A customized training ...
During this camp, we will focus on building the base and mileage needed to be successful during cross country season. We will evaluate the fitness of each and every camper and come up with a personalized training program for all. We will work with the athlete, parents and coaches to establish guidelines and mileage. We will also focus on running form, technique, strength and plyometric exercises that will help you be a better runner and promote an injury free season.
Our camp is limited to 24 spots so don't wait too long to register!
... at the International Altitude Training Center with professional athletes
You will be able to access the all-inclusive training resort (International Altitude Training Center) and enjoy a top notch staff, composed of nationally certified coaches, professional runners and trainers with a lot of experience in running a camp. If you check out our section “Spotted in Font Romeu”, you will see that many Olympic runners spend several months a year at this facility and you will get to run with professional runners and get to ask any questions you may have.
MORE THAN A RUNNING CAMP
A great way to explore the South West of France!
But this is more than just an altitude running camp - we aren’t going to bring you to France without showing you the magnificent chateaux, the cobblestone streets filled with lively cafés & restaurants, as well as the picturesque beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. We will go the French/Spanish border, do some beautiful hikes in the Mountains, visit the city of Toulouse and Villefrance, the medieval Castle of Carcassonne, go spend an afternoon in Andorra -one of the smallest country in the world- go wander in Collioure, an ancient city by the Mediterranean sea, and do many other awesome activities (Water park, Laser tag, Sip-line, etc)... For those who want to, we also offer a complementary & optional daily one hour french classes!
This is a once in a lifetime experience that you can even use under your extra curriculum activities when applying to colleges. Participating in such a camp shows that you can evolve outside of your comfort zone in a global setting. Finally, for those eligible, we also have a small network of Division I coaches with which we can put you in contact with.
Our camp is limited to 24 spots so don't wait too long to register!
Parents, don't worry !
You will see during our registration process that we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your children. From keeping a comprehensive health log on each camper to having plenty of staff per camper, we take safety extremely seriously. Additionally, we will communicate with you daily through update emails (description of the day with some pictures). For more information about insurance, please refer to our registration page.
If you want to come to France to see your son/daughter practice, we welcome you to do so! Also, Bordeaux wine country is only a 2.5 hr drive from Toulouse, so the Southwest of France could be a great getaway for the whole family.
